Kurz – titanium implants for middle ear surgery

Made from pure medical grade titanium (non-alloy) and available in fixed and adjustable lengths, the Kurz range of middle-ear prostheses and precision surgical instruments offer the best tools for otological procedures.

As surgeons move away from the more traditional materials, the popularity of Kurz’s comprehensive range of titanium middle ear implants has steadily increased. This is largely due to their excellent biocompatibility, biostability, and acoustic results.

The delicate filigree design allows for optimal viewing during surgery, and the pliability of the titanium enables better intraoperative handling and adaption.
Kurz offer a complete system for middle ear surgery, including a unique sizing tool, variable and partial prostheses, and a precise cartilage knife. Kurz recently developed the Malleus Notch Prosthesis (Yung Design) with the Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust – a prostheses that incorporates the favoured open design of Kurz headplates, with a notch for placement under the malleus.
